Fever or chills • Cough • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing • Fatigue • Muscle or body aches • Headache • New loss of taste or smell • Sore throat • Congestion or runny nose • Diarrhea • Nausea or vomiting

It is important to screen your student for these symptoms every morning before school.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT:

Back to school night will be virtual again this year and we hope to see everyone there! We have staggered the times so families with multiple children will be able to meet their child’s teacher and ask any questions. Teachers will begin their presentations at the times below and will have their Zoom open for one hour from the starting time. The schedule will be as follows:

  • Kinder & 1st Grade: 5:00 – 6:00
  • 2nd & 3rd Grades: 5:30 – 6:30
  • 4th, 5th, & 6th Grades: 6:00 – 7:00

If you have multiple students, be sure to drop in to each teacher even if you miss their presentation. The teachers will love to meet you!

OPTIONAL FREE COVID TESTING AT SCHOOL:

The school offers free testing in our care room every day. Students only have to be registered once and then they can get tested as often as you’d like. Students who are sent to the care room with possible COVID symptoms are encouraged to be tested since you can return to school more quickly with a negative result. You can also have your child do surveillance testing, meaning they will be tested regularly. The link to sign up is:

CHECK THOSE SPAM FOLDERS:

In the past we have had issues with family members not receiving emails from staff members because they have been sent to junk or spam folders. Please check those periodically to be sure that you don’t have a bunch of emails there. Thank you!

This year we are trying to streamline our communication and provide all information digitally. Usually at the start of the year, there are many forms that need to be read and signed. Now we are going to do it digitally. For those of you who prefer paper copies, please notify the office. All of these resources are also listed on our school website. Please

SCHOOL ARRIVAL:

School begins Thursday, September 2nd at 8:00 am. Students who are eating breakfast may arrive at the cafeteria at 7:30 am to eat. If your student is not eating breakfast, please do not bring them to school until 7:45 to ensure proper distancing. Unfortunately, parents will not be allowed to enter campus and escort their student to the classroom. We will have staff members available to show students where to line up on the playground.

SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

EARLY OUT THURSDAYS:

Our full daily schedule is posted on our school website. Please remember that on Thursdays the students are dismissed and hour early for teacher collaboration. The first day of school, and every Thursday, students in grade 1 – 3 are dismissed at 1:07 and students in grade 4 – 6 are dismissed at 1:12

BUS SCHEDULE:

Please see the link to the right for the current bus schedule. Please note that it may be subject to change. I will keep it updated as I receive any changes.

DISMISSAL PROCEDURES:

At dismissal, we are moving where kids line up and spreading them out in the grass in front of the school. The lines will be set back toward the school building so there is more room for parents to gather and locate their children in the grade level lines. Please remember that you may not double park and ask your child to get into the car. If you are going to park across the street, let you child know and s/he can use the crosswalk to meet you over there once they see you. Please see the link to the dismissal map on the right.

NOON DUTY SUPERVISORS:

We are currently looking for two yard duty supervisors for lunch and lunch recess. One position is 1.5 hours each day (11:30- 1:00) and the other position is two hours per day (11:15 – 1:15). If you are interested in the position, please call the office or email Ms. Butler

CLASS LISTS:

Class lists have been posted on this website. Please be aware there will be no classroom changes.

INDEPENDENT STUDY OPTION:

Please click on the “Learning Resources” tab above for more information regarding the district’s Independent Study option.

MEALS:

We are excited to announce that both breakfast and lunch are free for ALL STUDENTS this year! LCFF Income Verification forms still need to be completed by every family to ensure we receive maximum funding. These forms will be sent home on the first day of school.
