No school

Please note there is no school Monday, February 13th and Monday, February 20th due to holidays.

Art Ark

Thanks to the City of Rancho Cordova, we are very lucky to have the Crocker Art Museum’s Art Ark at Lincoln for the week. All classes will be visiting the Ark and we are having a family night where the whole family can visit! Family night is scheduled for Wednesday, February 15th from 3:00 – 7:00. You can visit any time during that time, and please note there is a limit of how many people can be in the Ark at one time. PTO will be on the scene selling snacks if you get hungry.

Dress Code

Please be sure to revisit our school dress code to ensure students are dressed appropriately for school. It is linked to the right for your reference. Please note that pajama pants, slippers and slides are not for school. If students are wearing sandals, please be sure they are closed-toe and have an ankle strap. We want students to be safe and ready to learn. Students who are not following dress code may be asked to call home to change.

Wide Open Walls

I’m excited to report that we have been chosen as the next district school to participate in the Wide Open Walls School Program. We will have multiple artists coming to our school the weekend of April 14 – 16 to paint murals on our school walls. We will also have a community fair on April 15th on campus. More information to come! We will be looking for volunteers, so if you would like to volunteer please call the office or email me at laura-butler@scusd.edu.

Arrival and Dismissal Time

Maintaining a safe environment is extremely important to me and we are experiencing some very unsafe conditions during drop-off and pick-up. Please be sure to follow the very important guidelines listed below.

PTO Crumbl Cookie Fundraiser

The PTO is sponsoring a fundraiser AT Crumbl Cookies in Rancho Cordova on February 22. Our school receives a portion of the proceeds from sales during our fundraising time. Students who visit Crumbl on that day also receive a free chocolate chip cookie. More information will be coming home soon.

Black Parent Involvement Day

Black Parent Involvement Day is February 21st. Come visit your child’s classroom and see what they are learning! If you would like more information, you can go to https://blackparallelschoolboard.com/black-parent-involvement-day/. We look forward to seeing you at school!

Second Trimester Conferences

We have our second trimester conferences coming up March 17-24. All parents are welcome to have a conference with your child’s teacher. More information will be going home soon regarding conferences.

SLY PARK CHAPERONES NEEDED

We are looking for two male and two female chaperones who can join our sixth graders for their overnight trip to Sly Park. The school will pay for required fingerprinting and background check for those chaperones who commit to attending the week.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We need you! We are looking for volunteers to help out at school – to help with supervision, help in the classrooms, school PTO sponsored activities and more! MORNING DROP OFF & AFTERNOON PICK UP:

In an attempt to keep everyone safe and keep traffic moving, please remember the following:

  • Please pull over all the way next to the sidewalk and do not let students out
in the middle of the street.
  • Students may not get into cars that are double parked or in the middle of
the street. We do not want students to be hit by a car.
  • Please do not do U-turns in the middle of the street. I have seen many
near accidents and it also holds up traffic in both directions.
  • Please stay out of the red zone. This area is for the bus and daycare vans.
  • Please drive slowly and exercise patience/respect during drop off and pick
up time. School staff is trying to ensure the safety of everyone during these
    times.
  • Please use the crosswalk when crossing the street.
  • Please do not go around cars and drive in the opposite lane of traffic.
  • Please do not block driveways or crosswalks.
