Go Guardian is an online classroom management tool for Chromebooks. Teachers who choose to use Go Guardian can see what is on the screen of every student in their classroom simultaneously. They can see the student’s active tab as well as any other open tabs in the browser. Teachers can push out websites to single students or the entire class as well as close tabs and block websites. All of this is only allowable during district-determined school hours (7 am- 3 pm). This is be available to all teachers in our district for three years. In the pilot study this program increased student engagement and decreased wasted class time. If you have questions about whether your child’s teacher is using Go Guardian, please reach out to her or him.
